Using the webcam to take a picture Students will use the webcam to capture a video and then convert this video to a JPEG file.
Students select Windows Movie Maker
Select ‘Capture Video’ from top left hand side. The computer will then search for the webcam.
When it is found, select NEXT.
Give your video a file name and select NEXT. (The default for WHERE the computer will file the video is to MY VIDEOS.)
On the left-hand side, START CAPTURE will start the webcam recording and STOP CAPTURE will stop the webcam recording. When you stop recording, select FINISH. The video will then be put on the left hand side of the screen.
To the bottom of the captured video screen is an icon of a camera. PLAY the captured video until you find the spot where you want the photo to be taken. PAUSE the video and select the camera.
